Christopher Shaw is the founder and lead guide of Merkaba Retreats, where he facilitates immersive, in-person experiences designed to support deep transformation, remembrance, and embodied truth.

Christopher’s work is grounded in presence, devotion, and lived practice. He guides individuals and couples through threshold experiences that invite clarity, release, and reorientation — not through force or performance, but through stillness, honesty, and embodied responsibility.

The Work
Merkaba Retreats are not workshops or self-improvement programs. They are ceremonial containers. Christopher holds retreats for those who feel called to step out of habitual patterns and into direct experience — reconnecting with body, spirit, and relational truth through carefully curated immersion.

Experience & Lineage
Christopher brings over two decades of experience supporting individuals and communities through transformation. He is a licensed psychotherapist by background and previously founded and led a successful private, insurance-free clinical practice in Austin, Texas.

Over time, his work evolved beyond pathology and repair toward initiation, embodiment, and devotion, giving rise to Merkaba Retreats and its sister expressions.

Christopher now lives and works in Mexico, where Merkaba Retreats are held in natural, carefully chosen environments that support depth, safety, and integration.
